Worldwide phenomenon David Guetta returns to the Warehouse Project to top off a hectic year that has seen the French superstar conquer the globe. The past twelve months alone have seen him win a Grammy award as well as picking up three further nominations, collaborate with the Black Eyed Peas on their worldwide number one hit single I Gotta Feeling,  top the charts across Europe with his singles Memories and Gettin’ Over You from his huge album One Love as well as his productions for Kelis with Acapella and K’naan’s Wavin’ Flag. Known for his stunning DJ sets as much as his music, last year alone saw him travel to over 200 cities and play to millions of people, with DJ Magazine naming him best house DJ in the world.

An established name on the dance music scene for years, he has recently become one of the biggest musical acts on the planet, selling tens of millions of records and producing music for the biggest artists working today including Madonna, Lil’ Wayne, Kelis, Shakira and Kelly Rowland to name but a handful. For what will be one of the most anticipated and unique nights to hit Manchester in a very long time, he will be playing a very special headline set at WHP2010, displaying the talent and passion for entertaining that has made him such a massive success.

  • Born in Paris, David Guetta began his illustrious DJ career at the age of just 17, a resident in a small Parisian night club. Discovering house music when he heard a Farley Jackmaster Funk track on the radio, he began to host his own nights at venues such as Le Palace and produce his own music, spending the 90s building his name in France. His first hit single came in 2001, Just a Little More Love with the American singer Chris Willis, and his name began to spread across Europe as a talent to watch. A massive remix of David Bowie’s Heroes further raised his profile, as did his Fuck Me I’m Famous parties in Ibiza and hugely successful series of mix CDs under the same name. In 2006 his Love Don’t Let Me Go was released as a mash up with the Tocadisco remix of Walking Away by The Egg, becoming a massive dance hit and charting highly across Europe. By 2008 he had three full length studio albums to his name, Just a Little More Love, Guetta Blaster and Pop Life, and such was his reputation that he headlined the Stade de France with Tiesto and Carl Cox in front of over 40,000 people.
    
    

    It was his One Love album released last year, however, that saw him become one of the biggest worldwide names in dance music, blending upfront electronic dance production with r’n’b, hip hop and pop influenced vocals . The lead single When Love Takes Over with Kelly Rowland was  a number one in the UK and across Europe, and huge follow up singles such as Sexy Chick with Akon, Memories with Kid Cudi and Gettin’ Over You with Chris Willis, Fergie and LMFAO were all massive successes, as was his anthem I Gotta Feelin’, a collaboration with The Black Eyed Peas. He has frequently teamed up with Will.i.am from the group, on the massive Wavin’ Flag single by K’naan for example, an anthem of the recent World Cup. He also worked on Kelis’ acclaimed Flesh Tone album, producing her number one single Acapella.

    Guetta has won numerous awards during his career, including best French act at the MTV music awards, best international DJ at the DJ awards, world’s best selling DJ at the World Music Awards and a Grammy award for Best Dance Remix. He has worked with acts such as Madonna, Britney Spears, Lil’ Wayne, Flo Rida, has played practically every major club across the world and is one of the only ever DJs to have played to a crowd of over a million people, at a carnival in Brazil.
