We wanted to share a quick note from us here at WHP HQ.

Sometimes maybe it feels you only hear from us when there is a lineup announcement, and we want to change that. So while we’re making preparations, we will be in touch with some general updates – we always welcome your feedback too.

Venue Updates:
Our job here really is to make WHP an unmissable experience and we are constantly refining how we do things. Here’s a few notable updates on how things will work at Mayfield during the coming season and beyond…

> Entry to Mayfield will now be via Temperance Street, which will mean entering the venue via the Archive side of the building. This is one area where we are aiming to make significant improvements.

> New, proper toilets (!) are being installed throughout the venue in an effort to eventually eradicate the portaloos completely. We should be at 80% proper flushable toilets by the time we open the doors for WHP25.

> We are doing a complete overhaul of the production in the main Depot room including brand new VIP zones and mezzanines, a brand new soundsystem, video and lighting install. Further info coming soon.

What do we think about phones on the dancefloor?
We know WHP can be a BIG experience and we don’t feel its always our place to try and enforce a strict no phones policy. However, we feel that club culture is best enjoyed in the moment with your friends, and your phone in your pocket.
We’ve got a plan:

> You may have noticed a few more ‘Concourse Only’ events appearing on the calendar. For these more intimate shows we will be introducing a no phones policy and asking people to sticker their phone cameras upon entry (we’ll provide the stickers!).

> For the full WHP shows, we’ll be encouraging everyone to keep their phones in their pockets, especially on the dancefloor. Whilst not enforcing a no phones policy there will be signage around the venue asking people to simply respect those around them and limit use of phones generally whilst in the venue.

> At the end of each night, we’re planning to share a huge archive of professionally shot content (photos and video) from that night that will be fully prepared for you to use on your own socials. Every set will be shot by our in house team and you will have immediate access to it as soon as the music stops.

We’re set to reveal the full calendar this week so keep an eye on our website, socials + Instagram Broadcast channel.

As ever, stay tuned.
